Soothing and calming Oatmeal, Milk and Honey.

 Oatmeal, Milk and Honey Soap

Warm and cozy oatmeal flavored with creamy milk and honey. This fragrance I use for my own personal soap, it reminds me of my grandmother's freshly baked oatmeal cookies. The scent just warms you from inside out.

I decided to use all ingredients: oatmeal + goat milk + honey. This soap is handmade by hot process, so, all nourishing ingredients have added after saponification was end and did not react with lye, keeping their compassionate function.

Made from fresh goat milk, this soap is wonderful for all skin types and highly recommended for people with dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, acne, and sensitive skin.

Honey is a humectant, which means it attracts and retains moisture. Honey also acts as an anti-irritant, making it suitable for sensitive skin. It is antibacterial, which helps with acne treatments and prevention.

Oatmeal powder makes a soothing addition to soap; it will impart a soft, cushiony feel on the skin. The old-fashioned rolled oats on the top of soap bar will gentle exfoliate your skin.

Ingredients: Saponified oil- olive, sustainable palm, coconut, castor, grape seed, rice bran, shea butter; enriched by avocado oil and shea butter; organic goat milk, organic oat powder, oat rolls, honey, fragrance oil (phthalate free).

DIY project: making your own garden's hand scrub.

I love gardening but it always leaves my hands extremely dry and dirty. I decided to make my own DIY Garden's Hand Scrub that I also use on my feet!
This recipe is incredibly simple and takes only a few minutes to put together but this is perfect for gently removing dirt and grime from hands while leaving them soft and very clean.

Lemons full of vitamin C and also can help to lighten dark spots on the skin. The olive oil has amazing benefits and perfect to nourish your skin.
 What You'll Need:

Zest of one lemon
Juice- 1/2 lemon
1 cup  sugar (white or brown)
1/4 cup olive oil

How to do:
1. Zest one lemon and place it into a small glass bowl.
2. Cut lemon in half and squeeze juice into bowl with the lemon zest.
3. Add olive oil and stir together.
4. Add 1 cup of sugar and stir until the mixture is fully combined. If a more grainy sugar scrub is desired, add more sugar.
5. Pour sugar scrub into a jar or another air tight container and store in a cool place until ready to use.
How to use:
Scoop out a small amount into your hands and scrub over dirty hands. Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a towel. If your hands feel greasy after use you can rinse them again with regular hand soap.

This scrub is so amazing! It will leave your skin feeling like satin, and it smells so fabulous!
Lemon is one of my favorite scents. But if you don’t like lemon, just substitute your favorite essential oil.
The recipe is easily doubled or more in order to make larger batches. Lemon Sugar Scrub makes a beautiful gift throughout the year.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

New batch of soap - inspired by fragrance.

I've finished my new batch of soap - Red Currant and Thyme Tea.

Sometime you can find that inspiration can come from very different things. Some people gather inspiration from listening to music, others get it by looking at art. I've found that fragrances can also lead me to create something new.
I have new fragrance "Red currant and Thyme tea" which described by manufacturer as "a rich floral blend of wine-like fruity tea aromas with depth and complexity. Kissed with some tartness and musk notes, this is a must have for your collection".
I did not recognize floral scent but this is tart and fruity and clean. Great herb scent with a hint of red tart berries. It's real nice scent!

I've chosen bright design of soap and decided to use cold process of soapmaking, because I wanted to do swirl technique. It's first time when I use bold red color with intensive black but this is well matched to the fragrance!  For more vibrant colors this soap went through gel phase.

Now I will cut this soap and after curing time (about 4 weeks) we can try it, just need to wait.
