DIY project: making your own garden's hand scrub.

I love gardening but it always leaves my hands extremely dry and dirty. I decided to make my own DIY Garden's Hand Scrub that I also use on my feet!
This recipe is incredibly simple and takes only a few minutes to put together but this is perfect for gently removing dirt and grime from hands while leaving them soft and very clean.

Lemons full of vitamin C and also can help to lighten dark spots on the skin. The olive oil has amazing benefits and perfect to nourish your skin.
 What You'll Need:

Zest of one lemon
Juice- 1/2 lemon
1 cup  sugar (white or brown)
1/4 cup olive oil

How to do:
1. Zest one lemon and place it into a small glass bowl.
2. Cut lemon in half and squeeze juice into bowl with the lemon zest.
3. Add olive oil and stir together.
4. Add 1 cup of sugar and stir until the mixture is fully combined. If a more grainy sugar scrub is desired, add more sugar.
5. Pour sugar scrub into a jar or another air tight container and store in a cool place until ready to use.
How to use:
Scoop out a small amount into your hands and scrub over dirty hands. Rinse with warm water and pat dry with a towel. If your hands feel greasy after use you can rinse them again with regular hand soap.

This scrub is so amazing! It will leave your skin feeling like satin, and it smells so fabulous!
Lemon is one of my favorite scents. But if you don’t like lemon, just substitute your favorite essential oil.
The recipe is easily doubled or more in order to make larger batches. Lemon Sugar Scrub makes a beautiful gift throughout the year.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
