The
winter is good time as it is synonymous for the Holidays, but it is a really harsh
time for skin. Cold weather, wind and dry air inside buildings due to heating
system cause skin dehydration and damage the skin's barrier.
The dehydrated skin means you need to drink more water and
also hydrate your skin topically with ingredients that help your skin retain moisture.
Could night moisturizer and
sleeping mask be the same thing?
No.
- - Overnight masks a more powerful way to achieve a
healthier complexion overnight than night cream. By leaving them on as you
sleep, they create a seal to retain water and help ingredients penetrate the
skin more efficiently, but still feel lightweight.
- - Night
masks formula are often more concentrated with hydrating and anti-aging
ingredients, similar to what you’d expect from a serum.
- - Night masks usually a gel-like texture that
absorbs into your skin and they won’t make a mess on your pillowcase.
Do
you need still use a night cream?
Yes.
Night
cream acts as your daily source of skin hydration, but sleeping masks are
designed for overnight hydration and for reinforcing the skincare routine.
The
sleeping mask you can use 2-3 times a week. However, you can also use it on a
daily basis depending on your skin type and concerns.
How
to use:
Apply
generously all over the face avoiding the eye and lip area at the end of your
evening beauty ritual, keep it overnight and rinse off in the morning.
The
revitalizing effects are extremely addicting - skin is naturally baby-soft and
bright in the morning.
Hello Soaps4Us.
ReplyDeleteDoes an overnight mask leave a face wet and sloppy-feeling the whole night? Can you actually feel it on your skin as you sleep? Or does it absorb into skin? I ask because I don't sleep well when I have to wear something on my body during the night.
Hello,
Deletethis mask doesn't make you feel wet, but you can still feel it like a film. Of course, this varies individually. For my skin I usually apply moisturizer after sleeping mask. Or you can also use this mask as 20-30 min treatment.
