DIY project - Two Recipes of Luxury Chocolate Face Mask: for dry/normal and for oily skin.

Valentine’s Day is all about love. While everything red and related to love is mostly gifted, there are also other amazing gifts that can be considered. Chocolates are always a part of the gift but why not experiment and try something new with chocolate this V-Day?
You’ve heard of chocolate spas and chocolate facials – but what if you try to luxuriate in these chocolate beauties at home. Let's make chocolate face mask!

Research has validated dark chocolate as a powerful antioxidant that combats free radicals and molecules that can complicate the immune system. With at least 60 percent cocoa, dark chocolate is the only chocolate which delivers beauty benefits.

Chocolate does, in fact, have components that can do the skin good. It’s well known that the cocoa butter in chocolate gently lubricates the skin and can thereby protect dry skin from moisture loss. A research team from Germany’s Muenster University discovered that a component of cocoa beans can even heal wounds and stimulate skin cell growth.
Dark chocolate is full of vitamins and antioxidants, making it an excellent foundation for a DIY face mask.
Chocolate Face mask for normal/dry skin:

 We need:
- chocolate (60% cacao and higher). I used pure cacao dark unsweetened chocolate chunks.
- milk
- 1 egg (egg yolk)
Instructions:
- melt chocolate (use double boiler or microwave)
- separate egg yolk
- warm milk
- add warm milk to melted chocolate
- add egg yolk and mix all together

How to use:
 - Apply immediately on your face using a clean brush or your fingers. The neck and the décolleté areas can be treated, if desired.
- Lay down and relax. Leave on skin for 15-20 minutes.
- Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Chocolate Face mask for oily/combination skin:

We need:
- chocolate (60% cacao and higher). I used pure cacao dark unsweetened chocolate chunks.
- sour cream or plain yogurt
- orange (or mandarin, or lemon)

Instructions:
- melt chocolate (use double boiler or microwave)
- squeeze 1-2 Tbsp. orange juice
- combine juice and melted chocolate
- mix with sour cream until smooth

How to use:
- Apply to your face and neck, avoiding eyes, for 10-20 minutes.

- Rinse off with lukewarm water.
- Be sure to apply moisturizer after using and removing the face masks.

Enjoy! It’s one of the best ways to relax and rejuvenate yourself! A chocolate facial mask treatment is a luxurious experience that can feed your senses and your skin at the same time! Especially in Valentine’s Day!
